RC Planes - an Inexpensive & Funny Hobby

RC Airplanes are way cheaper than flying the real thing and just as fun Most people don't have the money for the big boys but anyone can afford a remote control airplane, they start for less than a month of internet service in many cases.

Men, women and children are now able to fly. During the last 20 years many new airplanes have been developed and people fly planes for fun every day. Known as RC airplanes, helicopters, jets and even a flying bug, building an RC plane is now a very easy thing to do. They come in kits with assembly in under an hour depending on the model. Some come with simple snap together parts and your flying in less than an hour. It's a great pass time, soon you will realize that it's time to get started for yourself or family.

No instructor needed to teach you how an RC airplanes work either. By choosing the right airplane to start out with, you'll be having fun within the day you get it. There are plenty of true beginner airplanes like the Nitro Models trainers or the Low wing super trainers, they come with instructions for construction plus flying. Trust me it's easy! I suggest a true kit plane with a large wing span for good flight characteristics for beginners.

A couple of hundred dollars will get a great utility plane with controls or an electric version with control can be less than $100. If you think you or the person you're buying for will stick with it, go for the gas version and a little more money. The range is better and it makes sense to get a controller you can use on an upgraded plane later.

You can try a foam or balsa version for starting out. But know this; you won't stop there once you try it.
